Actural Dialogues:  Shaping Global Culture Together

Contributing to UNESCO’s MONDIACULT 2025

UNESCO’s MONDIACULT, the landmark global conference on cultural policies and sustainable development, brings together policymakers, experts and cultural practitioners to shape the international cultural agenda. In preparation for MONDIACULT 2025 in Barcelona next September and in direct response to UNESCO’s call for contributions, we answer this call by creating spaces where diverse cultural perspectives converge and collaborate through the Actural Dialogues – a unique series of roundtables spanning multiple continents to facilitate professional exchanges ahead of this landmark event.

Global Perspectives, Shared Futures

Through roundtables in six cities (New York, Brussels, Rabat, Dakar, Lagos and Cairo), Actural Dialogues create living connections between cultural professionals, policy makers, practitioners, and academics. Each meeting spotlights case studies in resilience and innovation—with the Global South’s pioneering approaches taking center stage. This fresh perspective, often under represented in cultural policy dialogues, reveals how locally-rooted solutions can reshape global strategies.

From Local Insights to Global Impact

The insights, experiences, and innovative models gathered through our round tables will be captured in Cultural Futures: A Roadmap for Collaboration—a dynamic report that amplifies the Global South’s transformative approaches alongside perspectives from Europe and the Middle East. This compilation will provide MONDIACULT 2025 with actionable examples of culture’s capacity to address shared global challenges.
